2. Information We Collect

ColorStax is built to work primarily on your device. The app does not require you to create an account and does not collect personal identifying information such as your name, email address, or phone number.

Specifically:

• Photos and images: When you choose a photo from your device, ColorStax accesses that image only for editing within the app. The image remains on your device.
• Background removal & editing: Any processing (such as removing background or combining with a new background) is performed on-device using Apple’s frameworks (for example, Vision and Core Image on iOS).
• Usage or analytics data: ColorStax does not use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not track your behavior across apps or websites.

3. How Your Photos Are Used

Photos you select are used solely for the purpose of providing app features, such as:

• Displaying your photo on the ColorStax canvas.
• Removing or adjusting the background locally on your device.
• Exporting or sharing the final image when you choose to do so.

We do not upload your photos to our servers, sell them, or use them to train any machine learning models.

4. Permissions Used by the App

ColorStax may request access to the following device features:

• Photos / Photo Library: Required so you can select images from your device and save edited results back to your library.
• Camera (if enabled in future versions): Used only to capture new photos within the app, at your request.

You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings > Privacy.

5. Data Storage & Retention

• Edited images and temporary working files are stored locally on your device or in your photo library if you choose to save them.
• We do not maintain a separate server-side copy of your photos or creations.
• If you delete the app, locally stored data associated with ColorStax may also be removed by iOS, except for any images you previously exported to your Photos app or shared elsewhere.

6. Children’s Privacy

ColorStax is a general-audience app and is not specifically directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not run user accounts or online services, we generally have no way of identifying individual users, including children.

7. Third-Party Services

At this time, ColorStax does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking libraries.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request your consent in accordance with applicable laws and App Store policies.

8. Your Choices & Control

• You can stop granting access to Photos (and Camera, if used) by updating permissions in your device settings.
• You may delete images created by ColorStax at any time from your Photos app or any other location where you have saved them.
• You may uninstall the app at any time, which will remove the app and its local data from your device (except for exported images you’ve saved elsewhere).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app’s functionality, legal requirements, or other reasons. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of ColorStax after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
